Casual Housekeeper – Oaks Gold Coast Hotel

About the role

Oaks Gold Coast Hotel is expanding its housekeeping department and is hiring several casual housekeepers. The role involves thorough cleaning of guest rooms to maintain high standards and deliver an exceptional guest experience, in a team-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds precisely, vacuuming floors and cleaning bathrooms.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently within the hours allocated by the company.
• Work with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Use specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively; training and tools are provided.
• Build professional relationships with team members, guests and contractors.

Required profile

• Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Good physical fitness and stamina, able to bend, lift and stand for long periods.
• Professional communication skills and good time management.
• Availability for flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Working rights in Australia or New Zealand only.

Shift details and pay

• Rotating roster Monday to Sunday, with weekend availability required.
• Shifts start between 8:00 am and 9:00 am.
• Hourly rates (excluding superannuation): $33.85 Monday to Friday, $40.62 Saturday, $47.39 Sunday.
