Casual Hourly Paid Instructor – Individual Support (Ageing & Disability)

About the role

TAFE SA is looking for a casual, hourly‑paid Instructor to deliver training and assessment in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) at the Whyalla campus. The role involves both online/virtual and face‑to‑face delivery, with occasional off‑site sessions in industry or regional locations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess training programs in accordance with the relevant training package.
• Provide guidance and support to students throughout their learning journey.
• Facilitate both virtual classroom sessions and on‑site practical classes.
• Occasionally travel to industry sites or regional centres for off‑campus delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment outcomes.

Required profile

• Qualified professional experience in aged care (residential or home care), dementia care, palliative care, or personal care.
• Desirable experience in disability services, including Supported Independent Living.
• Proven ability to deliver training and assessment within the Health, Community and Foundation Skills directorate.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent is desirable.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) issued by the South Australian Department of Human Services.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of aged care and disability support practices.
• Effective communication and instructional delivery skills.
• Ability to assess competency against training package standards.
