Casual First Aid Teacher

About the role

TAFE Queensland is seeking a casual teacher to deliver first aid training at its South Bank Campus. This role supports students in acquiring life‑saving skills that are essential for workplaces and communities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess first aid and CPR training sessions for vocational students.
• Ensure training aligns with the HLTAID009, HLTAID011 and HLTAID012 competency standards.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment outcomes.
• Collaborate with the Educational Team Leader and other staff to continuously improve course delivery.

Required profile

• Current vocational competencies for HLTAID009, HLTAID011 and HLTAID012.
• Valid training and assessment credential (e.g., TAE40122, TAE40116, or TAE40110) plus relevant assessment units.
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and eligibility to work in Australia.
• Demonstrated industry experience in first aid and adult vocational education.

Required skills

• Provision of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Provision of first aid.
• First aid delivery in education and care settings.
