Casual Educator – Early Childhood

About the role

We are looking for enthusiastic Casual Educators to join our team at Eden Academy Thornlands. In this role you will support the growth and wellbeing of children aged 0‑5 by delivering playful, child‑centred learning experiences in a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and nurture young learners through playful learning and meaningful connections.
• Create engaging, curiosity‑sparking environments using natural play spaces and age‑appropriate resources.
• Communicate confidently with families, building lasting relationships.
• Maintain a positive, team‑first attitude and bring energy to every classroom.
• Adapt to flexible shift patterns and be available on short‑notice call‑outs.

Required profile

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA‑recognised equivalent).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Full Australian working rights.
• Warm, professional presence with a genuine passion for early learning.
• Confidence connecting with children, families, and the community.
• Availability Monday‑Friday across varied shift patterns.
• Two professional references, one from a manager or supervisor in a childcare or education setting.
