Casual Bank Midwife

About the role

Mercy Hospital for Women, a public Specialist Teaching Hospital in Heidelberg, is recruiting a Casual Bank Midwife. You will work across a variety of specialist areas with a collaborative and dynamic team, playing an integral part in motivated clinical teams. Shifts are available in Birth Suites, Post-Natal / Antenatal wards, Fetal Monitoring, Outpatients, HDU and the Emergency Department.

Key responsibilities

• Play an integral role in a motivated clinical team with a family-centred care approach
• Provide best-practice patient care as a member of the multidisciplinary team
• Work a minimum of 2 shifts per month, with a choice of shifts

Required profile

• Resilient, compassionate and committed to exceptional patient-centred care
• Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check, or in the process of obtaining them
• Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations consistent with public health orders

• Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem-solve
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to patient care and management
• Ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment
