Car Park Officer - South Bank Parklands

About the role

South Bank Corporation is looking for a Car Park Officer for its South Bank Parklands precinct in Brisbane. This is an ongoing casual position offering permanent placement, where you act as the first and last point of contact for visitors, delivering a seamless, safe and positive parking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Customer service: assist patrons on site and by phone, answer inquiries, give directions, resolve issues and help during emergencies
• Traffic and access control: manage vehicle entry and exit to keep traffic flowing and prevent congestion, and troubleshoot parking access control systems
• Facilities upkeep: inspect and maintain parking equipment such as entry/exit gates, card readers and barriers, and clean the car park including operating ride-on equipment
• Safety and surveillance: monitor CCTV systems, enforce parking regulations, log incident reports and assist with first aid or emergency responses when required

Required profile

• Proven experience in customer-facing roles with strong verbal communication skills
• Active manual driver's licence (required)
• Ability to work autonomously, make sound decisions under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive approach to workplace health, safety and emergency response procedures
