C Developer – Application Development

About the role

We are urgently looking for an experienced C Developer to join our Sydney team on a contract basis. The role focuses on building high‑performance application software using C, with an emphasis on optimisation, scalability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑performance applications in C.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to add and improve application features.
• Optimise code for performance, memory usage and concurrency.
• Debug, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing and best‑practice adherence.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and contribute to documentation and architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship.
• 7+ years of professional experience in C programming and application development.
• Strong background in low‑level programming, data structures, algorithms, memory management and multithreading.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
• Hands‑on experience with relational and non‑relational databases, preferably Oracle.
