Buyer – Fashion & Accessories

About the role

STRAND is looking for an experienced Buyer to shape its product offering across accessories and apparel. Based in Pyrmont, you will work in a hybrid model, sourcing trend‑driven collections that enhance the travel and lifestyle experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and purchase products that align with emerging trends and brand strategy.
• Manage relationships with third‑party and external brands, negotiating terms and ensuring timely delivery.
• Collaborate with internal merchandising, design, and supply‑chain teams to bring each season’s assortment to market.
• Analyse sales data and market insights to optimise assortment performance.
• Maintain accurate buying plans and inventory levels while meeting tight deadlines.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of buying experience, preferably in fashion, apparel or accessories.
• Strong commercial acumen with proven analytical and numerical abilities.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
