Business Technology Platform Owner

About the role

The Business Technology Platform Owner will be responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle of one or more enterprise platforms within a major State Government organisation. Working in a hybrid setting from Brisbane CBD, you will shape platform strategy, governance and continuous improvement to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle management of assigned platforms, including strategy, governance, operations and improvement.
• Develop and maintain platform roadmaps aligned with organisational priorities and digital transformation goals.
• Act as the primary business representative and subject‑matter expert, advising senior stakeholders.
• Manage platform performance, availability, service levels and user adoption.
• Lead identification, assessment, prioritisation and implementation of platform enhancements.
• Collaborate with architecture, security, data and technology teams to ensure compliance and security.
• Monitor risks, issues and dependencies, applying mitigation strategies as needed.
• Drive change‑management activities to support adoption and optimisation of new capabilities.
• Prepare executive reports and performance metrics for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing enterprise platforms in a large‑scale environment.
• Strong strategic planning and technology governance capabilities.
• Excellent business analysis and requirements‑management skills.
• Awareness of risk, compliance and cybersecurity considerations.
• Demonstrated change‑management and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives.
