Business Development Manager - North QLD

About the role

Sime Motors Australia, part of Corefleet, supplies light commercial vehicle rental and lease, including set-up and maintenance, to the mining, oil and gas and civil construction sectors. A Business Development Manager for North QLD is needed, reporting to the Eastern Regional Manager and based in the Mackay branch with regular travel to the Moranbah branch. The role manages the existing client base while growing new business in line with regional sales, marketing and account management objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a regional sales plan to achieve short- and long-term sales, profit and market position objectives
• Identify and develop new business in North QLD by prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing deals
• Manage client relationships throughout the sales cycle
• Provide accurate, timely feedback on market conditions, customers and projects using the tools provided
• Submit accurate, timely reports as required

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a business-to-business sales position
• Proven business development experience and sales results
• Experience in the motor vehicle industry or an industrial services environment
• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Commerce, Business or a related discipline is advantageous
• Effective communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• High-level report writing skills
• Valid manual driving licence (C class)
