Business Development Manager – Mining Technology (Perth)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to establish and grow ELEMISSION’s presence in Australia. Based in Perth, you will work directly with mining and exploration clients, demonstrating our LIBS core and sample analyzers and converting interest into leases and deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Own the sales pipeline: prospect, qualify and close leasing and deployment agreements with exploration companies, producers and service providers.
• Manage the full sales cycle from technical engagement to contract negotiation and signing.
• Travel to client sites and core sheds, often in remote locations, to demonstrate technology and build long‑term relationships.
• Maintain and develop the partnership with CSIRO and represent ELEMISSION at industry events such as AusIMM, Diggers & Dealers, IMARC and AEGC.
• Provide market intelligence on competition, pricing and product needs to guide the Australian strategy.
• Help lay the foundations for a local operation, including setting up a Perth office and recruiting the first technical hire.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within the mining or technology sector.
• Ability to work independently, travel frequently and operate in remote field environments.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with the capacity to represent the company at conferences and with research partners.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting revenue and pipeline targets.
