Business Development Manager – Melbourne

About the role

First Table is looking for a driven, food‑loving Business Development Manager to expand its restaurant network across Melbourne. You will identify and approach prospective restaurant partners, understand their commercial needs and clearly communicate the value First Table brings. The role is remote‑first, with regular face‑to‑face meetings with restaurant owners and hospitality leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and win new restaurant partners in the Melbourne territory.
• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through networking, territory planning and proactive outreach.
• Own the end‑to‑end sales cycle – from the first conversation to onboarding and launch on the platform.
• Support existing partners when needed and help them maximise the platform’s benefits.
• Use market insights, performance data and local knowledge to prioritise opportunities.
• Collaborate with the wider First Table team, following established systems and receiving regular coaching.

Required profile

• Passion for food and the hospitality sector.
• Strong relationship‑building and door‑opening skills.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously and manage a territory independently.
• Comfortable meeting restaurant owners, operators and hospitality leaders in person.
• Alignment with First Table’s values of collaboration, win‑win outcomes and ownership.
