Business Development Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Join W Melbourne, a multi‑award‑winning luxury hotel, to drive new business and create epic moments for guests. You will be part of Marriott International’s global network, focusing on long‑lead MICE, group and catering opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and secure new revenue streams, strengthening the hotel’s market positioning.
• Lead proactive business development targeting long‑lead MICE, group and catering opportunities.
• Conduct weekly Insider Tours to showcase the hotel’s spaces and experiences.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Events, Reservations, Marketing and Operations to align sales efforts.
• Build and nurture long‑term client relationships, negotiate contracts and act as brand ambassador at trade shows and industry events.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, analyse market conditions and adjust tactics to exceed revenue goals.

Required profile

• Full Australian working rights (no sponsorship).
• Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Sales or equivalent experience.
• 3‑5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret financial and performance data.
• Highly motivated, self‑driven and commercially astute with excellent communication skills.
