Business Development Manager

About the role

Mining Plus is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives from its Perth office. You will act as the primary liaison between internal technical teams and external clients, driving new opportunities and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve the Business Development Strategy using competitive analysis and client insights.
• Design and execute a Client Relationship Management strategy, building strategic partnerships across regions.
• Qualify and scope opportunities by assessing client needs, project requirements, and organizational fit.
• Represent Mining Plus at industry events, conferences, and networking activities to promote services.
• Maintain and update the client and lead database.
• Mentor team members on business development techniques and proposal preparation.
• Create competitive proposal submissions tailored to client needs and, where appropriate, suggest alternative solutions.
• Collaborate with technical experts and project managers to ensure proposals translate into successful project delivery.
• Manage client expectations throughout the proposal process and ensure smooth handover to project managers after award.
• Coordinate project scheduling and subcontractor involvement as required by proposals.

Required profile

• 10+ years of business development and proposal development experience within the mining industry.
• Strong understanding of technical mining services and the ability to translate technical concepts into commercial value.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders.
