Business Development Manager – Digital Identity

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager – Digital Identity to join Daon’s Australian team. Reporting to the regional VP Sales, Marketing and Partnerships, you will act as a trusted advisor to enterprise customers, driving new‑logo and expansion sales of our biometric and identity verification solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as subject‑matter expert on digital identity, biometric authentication and compliance frameworks (GDPR, PSD2, eIDAS, FIDO) for enterprise customers.
• Qualify opportunities, shape solutions, deliver demos and lead technical responses for RFPs/POCs, and drive platform adoption with existing clients.
• Support implementation and integration alongside Customer Success managers, collaborating with engineering to troubleshoot and enhance the TrustX platform.
• Advise clients on secure, scalable solution design, provide best‑practice guidance, and represent Daon at industry events.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in identity verification, biometric authentication or related cybersecurity fields.
• Established professional network and proven track record in enterprise sales within financial services or telecommunications.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders, and ability to travel up to 15 %.

Required skills

• Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA) protocols.
• Identity verification (IDV) and biometric authentication technologies.
• SaaS platform experience and enterprise client integration.
• Document verification and fraud detection capabilities.
