Business Development Lead - Drone Support Solutions

About the role

A national commercial drone services business, described as Australia's largest and fastest growing in its field, is looking for a Business Development Lead. The role leads engagement in several key markets, including new business generation, and works with existing clients and new prospects selling a range of drone support solutions. Drone-sector experience is not necessary.

Key responsibilities

• Capture new business with a wide range of clients across Australia, in both metropolitan and regional areas.
• Nurture new clients and develop emerging markets.
• Use sales tools to drive rapid, extensive communication with clients, with a lot of calling involved.
• Identify and win new businesses, with particular attention to upcoming and future infrastructure, civil or large-scale landscaping projects.
• Travel extensively within Australia, often and at short notice.

Required profile

• 5+ years' experience with a demonstrated track record of sales success with a variety of customers.
• Enthusiasm for new technology and willingness to use sales tools to communicate widely with clients.
• Eagerness to work collaboratively to meet growth targets.
• Ability to travel nationally at short notice.
• Some experience working with enterprise customers, particularly in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction or Utilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of sales automation tools and experience using them.
• Experience in tender and bid management.
• Advanced presentation and interpersonal skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and manage time effectively.
