Business Development

About the role

JD.com is seeking a Business Development professional to drive revenue growth and expand market presence in Australia. You will work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics and e‑commerce solutions to new and existing customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to meet revenue targets.
• Identify, engage and qualify potential customers across logistics, retail, e‑commerce and FMCG sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
• Conduct market research on industry trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of client requirements.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and quotations.
• Negotiate contracts and terms to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Record all sales activities, interactions and transactions in the CRM system.
• Represent JD.com at industry conferences, trade shows and networking events.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of sales experience, preferably in logistics, retail, e‑commerce or FMCG within Australia.
• Strong knowledge of 3PL and logistics management.
• Proven negotiation and persuasion abilities with a track record of meeting sales targets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly self‑motivated, proactive and results‑driven.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
