Business Controller

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business Controller to join the leadership team in Perth. The role partners closely with the General Manager, Plant Manager and senior leaders to drive financial performance, operational efficiency and strategic decision‑making across our manufacturing and service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insight and challenge to support growth and profitability.
• Drive financial performance across P&L and Balance Sheet at both business‑unit and entity level.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Deliver high‑quality financial analysis, insights and recommendations for business decisions.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and initiate improvement projects.
• Support operational leaders in improving productivity, efficiency and profitability.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with group standards and local regulations.
• Oversee cash‑flow management, credit control and investment analysis.
• Lead finance systems, reporting and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Support audits, governance activities and financial compliance requirements.
• Develop the finance function, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in finance, commercial finance, business controlling or a similar leadership role.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, mining equipment, heavy industry or production environments.
• Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, P&L and Balance Sheet management.
• Proven ability to partner with senior leaders to drive business performance.
