Business Consultant – Border Management Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Business Consultant with deep expertise in border management systems to drive functional consulting, requirement analysis and solution delivery. The role will work closely with product owners, stakeholders and technical teams to translate business needs into actionable user stories and ensure successful implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements and contribute to solution design documents.
• Translate requirements into user stories and manage the backlog in Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform effort estimation using techniques such as Function Point analysis.
• Support schema design and produce interface control documentation (ICD).
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews and release documentation.
• Review functional test cases to ensure alignment with business needs.
• Provide functional support to development and QA teams and analyse risks to keep delivery on track.

Required profile

• 10+ years of business analysis experience with strong domain knowledge in border/security systems.
• Proven experience with PNR, DCS, APP and APIS messaging formats.
• Hands‑on experience using Azure DevOps for backlog and sprint management.
• Solid understanding of XML and interface design principles.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
