Business Banking Manager – NSW

About the role

As a Business Banking Manager you will be responsible for retaining and growing a portfolio of small‑to‑medium enterprise (SME) customers across NSW/ACT. You will deliver tailored, whole‑of‑customer banking solutions, engage clients through phone, video, email and digital channels, and ensure a high‑quality, proactive service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Handle high‑volume inbound enquiries and conduct structured outbound calls to generate leads.
• Provide premium customer service to a diverse SME client base within a team‑managed portfolio.
• Drive retention and growth of existing accounts by understanding client ambitions and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, Lighthouse and support teams to deliver rapid customer solutions.
• Meet performance targets across the balanced scorecard and manage the portfolio against agreed metrics.
• Maintain deep knowledge of ANZ’s product suite to advise customers on suitable banking products.

Required profile

• Proven experience in relationship management within SME banking or a comparable financial services environment.
• Strong ability to influence and build lasting client relationships.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting sales and retention targets.
• Collaborative mindset with effective stakeholder management skills.
