Business Analyst

About the role

The Business Analyst will shape the supporter systems and data that power Caritas Australia’s fundraising and engagement initiatives. Working across Salesforce NPSP, Marketing Cloud and related platforms, you will design, deliver and govern solutions that improve data quality and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business needs and translate them into clear specifications, user stories and process designs, including hands‑on configuration where required.
• Lead projects from discovery through delivery, managing timelines, risks, testing and vendor relationships.
• Identify inefficiencies, build automations and implement process improvements.
• Develop and embed data‑governance frameworks to ensure data quality, standards and ownership.
• Document changes, provide training and support teams to adopt new processes.
• Support data extraction, analysis and reporting to provide insights for the wider team.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, Data or a related field.
• Several years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a CRM or data‑driven environment.
• Proven track record of leading projects from discovery to delivery.
• Strong analytical ability to convert business needs into practical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences.
