Business Analyst – Enterprise Climate Program

About the role

As a Business Analyst in ANZ's Enterprise Climate Program, you will lead the elicitation, documentation and management of business and data requirements that support the bank’s ESG and mandatory disclosure obligations. The position initially focuses on mandatory disclosure reporting, working closely with business stakeholders and data teams to define clear, traceable requirements and enable data‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structured requirements elicitation across business and data domains through workshops, interviews and document analysis.
• Document and manage high‑quality business and data requirements (BRDs, user stories, data definitions) ensuring clarity, traceability and alignment to outcomes.
• Translate business needs into data requirements, covering sourcing, transformation logic, data attributes and reporting outputs.
• Partner with Risk, Finance, Technology and other divisions to validate requirements and agree scope.
• Support solution design by ensuring requirements are complete, prioritised and understood by delivery teams.
• Perform data analysis to assess source systems, data quality and gaps.
• Collaborate with technology teams to translate requirements into system and data solutions.
• Define test scenarios, validate outputs and ensure requirements are met during testing.
• Identify process impacts and help define future‑state processes aligned to data and reporting needs.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout delivery phases and provide governance updates.

Required profile

• Strong experience in requirements elicitation and documentation.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Experience analysing data sources, assessing data quality and identifying gaps.
• Familiarity with ESG, climate reporting or mandatory disclosure frameworks is advantageous.
