About the role

Longreach Tavern, a historic outback tavern in Longreach, Queensland, is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Chef to join its team and deliver high-quality breakfast service to guests every day. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Develop innovative menus and ensure culinary excellence.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory and cost control.
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.

Required profile

  • Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Cook or similar kitchen role.
  • Strong knowledge of breakfast preparation and service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a morning service.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Passion for producing quality food and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred.
