Boutique Host/Hostess for Luxury Retail

About the role

Hermès is seeking a Maison Host/Hostess to be the face of its Melbourne boutique. You will welcome clients, manage the flow of visitors, and ensure a seamless, high‑end experience throughout the store.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and escort clients, providing a positive first impression and store tours.
• Manage queue, appointments, and walk‑in traffic in coordination with floor managers.
• Oversee floor operations, directing clients to the appropriate team members and handling service gestures such as repairs, online pickup, and belt hole punching.
• Maintain store cleanliness and presentation, working closely with cleaning and visual‑merchandising teams.
• Liaise with security and manage any external disturbances.
• Support store animations, client‑eling activities, and private client area bookings.
• Prepare and stock dry and wet bars, ensure hygiene and sanitisation tools are available, and manage service stock ordering.

Required profile

• Previous experience in luxury retail or high‑end boutique environments.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to act as an ambassador for the brand.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage appointments, private client areas, and floor operations.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams (sales, operations, cleaning, security).
