BMS Technician Trainee

About the role

Johnson Controls is offering a structured 3‑month BMS Technician Trainee program for qualified HVAC technicians looking to transition into Building Management Systems. The role provides hands‑on experience with industry‑leading technologies and exposure to full project lifecycles across the Sydney metropolitan area.

Key responsibilities

• Complete OEM‑certified BMS training and participate in intensive development activities.
• Gain end‑to‑end project exposure on turnkey controls installation projects.
• Assist in BMS service, maintenance, and asset lifecycle management.
• Work with Connected Buildings and smart building technologies.
• Learn to use internal CRM and service management tools.

Required profile

• Qualified HVAC Technician with commercial HVAC service and operational experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety risks.
• Valid Australian driver’s licence and willingness to travel across the Sydney metropolitan area.
