BIM Coordinator – Architectural Projects

About the role

NOVSTA Engineering is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator (Architectural) to lead coordination on live international projects from our Sydney office. You will work within a small, multidisciplinary team delivering projects across the Middle East and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Own federated models across structural, architectural and MEP, set up and maintain the shared environment.
• Run clash detection cycles in Navisworks and chair resolution meetings.
• Maintain the BIM Execution Plan to ISO 19650, including naming, LOD, information delivery milestones and audit trails.
• Produce and verify shop drawings, schedules and quantities using Revit.
• Collaborate with the automation team on Revit API, Dynamo and Python tools to streamline modelling tasks.
• Act as the primary BIM contact for client and consultant managers across Australian and Gulf time zones.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of BIM coordination or digital engineering on building or infrastructure projects.
• Degree in civil, structural, mechanical or architectural engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Deep expertise in Revit and Navisworks, and hands‑on experience with a common data environment (ACC, BIM 360 or similar).
• Practical knowledge of ISO 19650 and ability to apply it daily.
• Solid understanding of structural or MEP systems to assess clash relevance.
• Fluent written English and strong communication skills.
