Bid Development Lead

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Bid Development Lead for the Pacific region to coordinate and deliver complex, high‑value tender submissions. The role involves managing the end‑to‑end bid process, ensuring compliance, and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate tender and bid submissions across the Pacific region.
• Develop bid plans, timelines, action trackers and responsibility matrices.
• Manage tender compliance, returnable schedules and submission governance.
• Facilitate bid kick‑off meetings, progress reviews and executive approval reviews.
• Coordinate contributions from cross‑functional SMEs and stakeholders.
• Ensure submissions are compliant, professionally presented and delivered on time.
• Drive bid governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support sales process optimisation, bid/no‑bid decisions and tender readiness.
• Provide regular reporting on bid status, risks, milestones and resource requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in bid coordination, tender management, proposal management or related fields.
• Experience in built environment, engineering, construction, infrastructure or related industries.
• Strong understanding of tender documentation, compliance and approval processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
• Proactive, accountable and detail‑oriented with influence without direct authority.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint and document management systems.
• Experience with CRM, bid management or proposal automation tools (advantageous).
