Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient)

About the role

Ability Action Australia's North Brisbane team is seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners at the Proficient level to provide support to NDIS participants in the North Brisbane region, working both in office and from home.

Key responsibilities

• Assess NDIS participants and develop person‑centred support plans using a positive behaviour support framework.
• Deliver evidence‑based interventions, set meaningful goals, and work to eliminate restrictive practices in home and community settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior practitioners, and build capacity of families and carers.

Required profile

• Current Proficient level suitability confirmed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
• Degree‑level qualification as an allied health professional (preferred) and experience in NDIS report writing.
• Strong time‑management, organisational skills and a genuine passion for the disability sector.
