Batcher – Concrete Plant

About the role

Pioneer North Queensland (PNQ) is looking for a motivated, safety-focused Batcher for its concrete plant in North Queensland. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will help run the plant efficiently so that concrete is batched accurately, safely and meets customer needs. The role covers batching, customer service, stock control and site maintenance, with consistent hours, overtime opportunities and ongoing training.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the concrete batching system to produce quality concrete products.
• Coordinate concrete orders and customer deliveries.
• Carry out plant and equipment pre-start inspections.
• Complete stock control activities and material reconciliations.
• Operate mobile plant equipment such as loaders (experience preferred but not essential).
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Do general yard duties, housekeeping and site maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Previous batching, manufacturing, logistics or operational experience is desirable but not essential.
• Current Construction White Card (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong organisational skills, multitasking and prioritisation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude, commitment to safety, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn plant systems.
• Loader ticket and operating experience highly regarded.
