Base Clinical Educator

About the role

The Base Clinical Educator is a full‑time, on‑site position in the Greater Darwin Area, responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating clinical education programmes for multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation and ongoing training for clinical staff, including simulation‑based and classroom education.
• Support competency assessment, clinical governance initiatives and quality‑improvement activities.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify learning needs and update education materials in line with current evidence and RFDS protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of training and professional development, and contribute to policy and guideline development.

Required profile

• Clinical expertise in nursing, paramedicine or allied health with current registration or eligibility for registration in Australia.
• Experience in clinical education for acute, emergency or remote settings and strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, manage multiple priorities and uphold clinical governance and quality‑improvement standards.

• Proficiency in adult learning principles and competency‑based assessment.
• Experience using simulation and practical skills training methods.
