Bar Supervisor

About the role

The Royal Queensland Golf Club is looking for a Bar Supervisor to lead and manage daily front-of-house and bar operations. The role delivers exceptional hospitality to Members and guests while overseeing staff supervision, high-standard event delivery, stock management and compliance with liquor and health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, recruit, onboard and mentor bar and casual floor staff, maintaining high service standards and a positive team culture
• Work with the House Manager on staff training, development and performance management
• Deliver hands-on daily food and beverage service
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cleanliness and presentation standards, and keep POS and bar IT systems running smoothly
• Partner with the other bar supervisor to run Member functions, corporate golf days and private events, including correct room setups, rostering and inter-departmental communication
• Build rapport with Members to gather feedback and encourage event bookings
• Order beverages and Clubhouse supplies as directed

Required profile

• Ability to build and maintain a well-trained, well-presented team with clear service standards and accountability
• Demonstrated service excellence and consistently high Member feedback ratings
• Strict adherence to Liquor Licensing and workplace health and safety standards
• Ability to deliver fully staffed events on time to Club standards
