Banking Consultant – Retail Branch (Cooktown)

About the role

The Banking Consultant role is based in the Cooktown branch of ANZ and focuses on delivering a seamless banking experience for customers. You will engage with clients to understand their financial needs, provide advice, and promote ANZ’s digital and traditional banking solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Drive customer engagement and advocacy by delivering high‑quality service.
• Conduct needs‑based conversations and process transactions in line with accreditation levels.
• Promote and educate customers on digital banking channels and products.
• Support bank programmes and initiatives while ensuring compliance with ANZ policies.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of each customer’s risk profile.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.
• Retail or banking experience is an advantage.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to act as a peer coach.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
