Banking Consultant – Cairns

About the role

ANZ is hiring a Banking Consultant for its Retail Banking division in Cairns, Queensland. The role is based mainly in branches and focuses on helping customers meet their end-to-end financial needs and goals through transaction activities, needs-based conversations and education on available financial solutions, including digital ones. It is a permanent position of 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Help customers with their financial needs and goals, completing transactions and fulfilling products according to the consultant's accreditation level.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service so customers become strong advocates of ANZ.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within a collaborative team.
• Contribute to higher customer engagement and advocacy and create real customer value.
• Support bank programs and initiatives.
• Know your customer from a risk perspective and comply with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Ideally retail experience; a growth mindset is valued.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative team.
• Sound understanding of compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Exceptional customer focus.
• Working knowledge of digital channels is an advantage.
