Banking Consultant – Brisbane Bayside Suburbs

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless banking experience for customers across the Brisbane Bayside suburbs. You will address end‑to‑end financial needs, guide conversations based on customers’ goals, and promote digital solutions while ensuring compliance and risk standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Drive higher customer engagement and advocacy by delivering tailored financial advice.
• Conduct needs‑based conversations and process transactions in line with your accreditation level.
• Participate in bank programmes and initiatives that enhance service quality.
• Maintain a thorough “know‑your‑customer” approach from a risk perspective.
• Ensure strict adherence to ANZ and branch policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within the branch team.
• Support branch operating hours, including rostered Saturday shifts when required.

Required profile

• Strong customer focus with a passion for delivering ANZ’s Customer Promises.
• Excellent communication skills for needs‑based financial discussions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a branch environment and coach peers.
• Flexibility to work casual, part‑time or full‑time schedules across multiple locations.

Required skills

• Banking transaction processing knowledge.
• Understanding of risk assessment and compliance procedures.
• Familiarity with digital banking platforms and tools.
