Automation Engineer

About the role

LGT Wealth Management is seeking an Automation Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of Avaloq and other platform releases before they go into production.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in definition and design phases, contributing to solution design and test planning.
• Create and execute test plans and test cases, track them to design and requirements, and capture results.
• Collaborate with business SMEs and management to agree on test approaches and sign‑off.
• Support the Platform team in issue identification and maintain stability of UAT environments.
• Improve the LGT test framework following DevOps principles and manage standardized test data.

Required profile

• Experience testing financial services products, preferably wealth management platforms such as Avaloq.
• Familiarity with both traditional and Agile SDLC methodologies.
• Background working within technology teams and exposure to CI/CD environments.

Required skills

• JIRA and Confluence
• Test automation tools: Selenium, Playwright, Testmaster, Tosca
• Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks
• Knowledge of end‑to‑end SWIFT message testing
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
