Auto Glazier (FIFO or Residential)

About the role

A Kalgoorlie-based, locally owned business that has supplied auto and machinery glazing to retail, commercial and mining customers since 2014 is hiring an Auto Glazier. The role fits glass on vehicles from late-model cars to haul trucks and heavy mining equipment, working in the workshop, on the road and on mine sites. It reports directly to the Owner and offers FIFO from Perth or residential options.

Key responsibilities

• Replace windscreens and glass on light vehicles, commercial trucks and heavy machinery
• Repair chips and damaged windscreens
• Cut glass to size for machinery and cab glazing
• Carry out ADAS calibrations after windscreen replacements
• Work independently on the road and on site, and as part of the team in the workshop
• Keep job records accurate and keep customers informed

Required profile

• 4+ years' auto glazing experience; less experience can still be applied
• Certificate III in Automotive Glazing or equivalent proven experience, including automotive and truck glazing
• Machinery glazing and glass cutting experience
• ADAS calibration experience
• Current manual driver's licence, clean National Police Clearance, ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing medicals and drug and alcohol testing
• Fitness for physical work in remote and hot site conditions

Required skills

• MR licence
• Working at heights, EWP and forklift tickets

What we offer

• Pay of $110,000 - $210,000 per year depending on experience and roster, paid on 12-hour days including paid lunch breaks
• FIFO rosters of 8 days on/6 off, 2 weeks on/1 off or 3 weeks on/2 off, with accommodation provided
• Residential Monday to Friday plus a $3/hr site allowance
