Auditor

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Auditor to join Stannards in South Yarra. You will work closely with experienced professionals across a diverse client base, gaining exposure to multiple industries and audit engagements while developing your technical audit skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with audit engagement planning and preparation, including testing of internal controls.
• Conduct substantive tests of details using designated methodologies, processes, standards and technology tools.
• Document issues, cross‑reference outstanding matters and communicate effectively with clients.
• Guide and review the work of junior staff where appropriate.
• Analyse financial positions of companies and assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with requirements.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in external audit engagements and working towards CA/CPA qualification.
• Completed tertiary qualifications in Accounting or related business disciplines.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and a commercial, problem‑solving mindset.
