Assurance Manager – Retail Products (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Assurance Manager for Retail Products provides independent first‑line assurance across ANZ's Retail Products portfolio, which includes credit cards, personal loans, deposits, payments, insurance and superannuation. You will work closely with business leaders, risk and compliance teams to ensure that customer, regulatory and operational obligations are met and that control environments remain robust.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assurance reviews of retail products, identifying control gaps, emerging risks and improvement opportunities.
• Assess the design and effectiveness of controls and provide evidence‑based findings and practical recommendations.
• Monitor remediation actions and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timeframes.
• Support governance forums and produce high‑quality assurance reports, management summaries and executive insights.
• Contribute to the PACT program, Single Customer Front End transformation and Suncorp Integration initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in assurance, risk management or control assessment within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong analytical ability to identify thematic issues, root causes and systemic risks.
• Excellent communication skills for building trusted relationships with risk, compliance and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and challenge existing risk management practices.
