Associate - Workplace Relations & Safety

About the role

HWL Ebsworth is recruiting an Associate for its highly regarded Workplace Relations & Safety practice in Adelaide, which advises large and medium corporate clients, insurers and government and statutory authorities. You will work closely with Practice Group Head and Board Member Clare Raimondo and Partner Jessica Nicholls in a busy, growing practice covering industrial relations, work health and safety, investigations, discrimination and other employment matters, with collaboration on transactional matters with the Corporate & Commercial practice.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Workplace Relations and Safety partners across a range of employment matters
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients
• Provide assessments and advice to clients and internal teams

Required profile

• Ideally 2+ years of post-admission experience
• Demonstrated experience or appetite to run contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including safety, enterprise bargaining, litigation, investigations and general advisory work
• Strong interest in workplace relations and safety law, with experience giving employment advice across commercial transactions
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail
• Full working rights in Australia and a valid practising certificate
