About the role
Curtin University is seeking a full‑time Associate Professor to serve as Discipline Lead for Oral Health Therapy within the School of Nursing. This senior academic leadership position will shape the future direction of the programme, enhance its reputation and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the review and revitalisation of the Oral Health Therapy curriculum in partnership with the Course Coordinator.
- Oversee accreditation processes with the Australian Dental Council and maintain programme standards.
- Develop and sustain industry partnerships to expand placement opportunities and improve graduate employability.
- Provide mentorship and supervision for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students.
- Contribute to university‑wide academic leadership, service and collegiality.
Required profile
- Doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline.
- Current AHPRA registration as an Oral Health Therapist.
- Proven record of high‑quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Experience leading curriculum initiatives and pedagogical development.
- Demonstrated research activity with national or international impact.
