Associate or Senior Associate – Competition & Consumer Law

About the role

MinterEllison is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its nationally recognised Competition team in Melbourne. You will work directly with leading partners and a collaborative group of lawyers on high‑profile competition and consumer law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with ACCC competition and consumer law investigations.
• Manage competition clearance processes for domestic and international mergers.
• Handle competition‑related litigation, authorisations, and consumer protection matters.
• Collaborate with corporate clients, international law firms, and government agencies.
• Work across practice areas and offices to deliver integrated legal solutions.

Required profile

• Motivated and focused lawyer with a strong interest in competition and consumer law.
• Demonstrated experience handling complex competition matters.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, national team environment.
