Associate Lecturer - Exercise Science / Exercise Physiology

About the role

Western Sydney University is seeking an Associate Lecturer in exercise science and exercise physiology within its School of Health Sciences. The position is based at the Campbelltown campus, with work from the Lang Walker Medical Research Building at Campbelltown Hospital as required. It is described as a full-time, ongoing position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and teach units across the School, focusing on undergraduate and graduate diploma education
• Prepare learning materials, facilitate learning for small and large groups, give timely feedback and assess student performance
• Contribute to the development and review of discipline-relevant programs and curricula
• Support education outreach and engagement activities across the School, Faculty and University
• Undertake research and scholarship, progressing work toward publication, contributing to funding applications and collaborating with teams

Required profile

• Qualifications in exercise science or exercise physiology and willingness to enrol in a doctoral qualification
• Demonstrated tertiary teaching experience in exercise science, including curriculum design, delivery and assessment
• Experience designing, delivering and reviewing outreach activities across education levels
• Evidence of research capability and ability to contribute to research supervision, collaborative projects and grant proposals
• Relevant professional registration or accreditation where required, and proof of Australian working rights at application
