Associate Electrical Engineer

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead major multidisciplinary building projects within its NSW & ACT Buildings business. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, shape technical direction, and mentor engineers across all career stages.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large‑scale building, defence, data centre, transport and aviation projects.
• Provide technical leadership, quality assurance and innovation across project teams.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships and support business development.
• Mentor and develop engineers, enhancing technical capability within the practice.
• Support commercial performance, resource planning and project delivery.
• Contribute to winning new work through proposals and market engagement.

Required profile

• Proven engineering leader with experience delivering low‑voltage power system projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary electrical design teams from proposal to completion.
• Strong client relationship management and business development track record.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status or progress towards chartership.
• Commercial awareness, leadership and influencing skills.
• Existing relationships in the NSW Buildings market are advantageous.
