Associate Electrical Engineer – Buildings (NSW/ACT)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead major multidisciplinary building projects across NSW and ACT. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, mentor engineers, and help shape the growth of the Electrical team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large, multidisciplinary building projects.
• Provide technical leadership and quality assurance across project teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor, building long‑term client relationships.
• Mentor and develop engineers at all career stages.
• Support commercial performance, resource planning and project delivery.
• Contribute to business development through proposals and market engagement.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the Buildings business.
• Lead projects in sectors such as Defence, Data Centres, Transport and Aviation.

Required profile

• Experienced engineering leader with a focus on people development and client relationship management.
• Proven track record delivering low‑voltage power system projects from proposal to completion.
• Experience in multidisciplinary electrical design teams and complex building services projects.
• Chartered Professional Engineer status (or working towards chartership).
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage project financial performance.
• Existing client relationships within the NSW Buildings market are advantageous.
