Associate Director, Global Student Insights and Intelligence

About the role

The University of Queensland is seeking an Associate Director to join Future Students and Admissions, based at its St Lucia campus. This full-time fixed-term position of up to 5 years reports to the Director, Future Students and Admissions, and leads the university's student insights and intelligence capability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice on student demand, market conditions, recruitment performance, forecasting and emerging opportunities and risks.
• Translate complex data and market intelligence into actionable recommendations for recruitment strategy, enrolment planning, scholarship investment and long-term growth.
• Lead a specialist team and partner with senior stakeholders to strengthen evidence-based decision-making.

Required profile

• Accomplished leader with a strong track record of using data and intelligence to inform high-impact decisions in a complex organisation.
• Experience providing executive-level advice and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading forecasting and intelligence functions, and navigating policy, regulatory and market environments.
• Ability to build trusted relationships, lead and develop teams, and improve analytical practices, reporting and governance.
• Experience in higher education and expertise in market intelligence, student demand analysis, planning or business intelligence highly regarded.
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of the appointment; employer-sponsored work rights are not available.
