Associate – Cost Management – Commercial Occupier

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Associate in Cost Management to support workplace, fit‑out, refurbishment and capital projects for corporate occupiers and real estate clients. This client‑facing leadership role combines project delivery excellence with business growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost and commercial management services across workplace, fit‑out, refurbishment and capital projects.
• Prepare feasibility estimates, cost plans, budgets, cash‑flow forecasts and benchmark studies.
• Provide strategic cost advice throughout planning, design, procurement and delivery phases.
• Manage procurement processes, tender evaluations and commercial negotiations.
• Administer contracts, assess variations and manage final accounts.
• Monitor project financial performance, forecasting, risk and change control.
• Prepare and present cost reports and commercial insights to senior client stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Property Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Professional membership of AIQS, RICS, MRICS, CQS or equivalent, or working towards accreditation.
• 8+ years’ experience in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Proven experience delivering workplace, fit‑out, refurbishment or capital projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and client‑facing skills.
• Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior professionals.
