Associate Construction Litigation Lawyer

About the role

This associate position focuses on high‑value construction and infrastructure disputes for a global litigation platform in Sydney. You will work on complex litigation, arbitration and ADR matters arising from major transport, energy and social infrastructure projects across Australia and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Supreme and Federal Court litigation, international and domestic arbitration, expert determinations and adjudications.
• Coordinate multi‑jurisdictional matters involving contractors, principals, insurers and technical experts.
• Provide legal advice and support for negotiations with government stakeholders on project cancellations or restructurings.
• Maintain direct client contact and ownership of substantive legal issues.

Required profile

• Associate with strong experience in construction or infrastructure disputes.
• Background in PPPs, transport or energy projects is highly regarded.
• Confidence handling complex litigation or arbitration components.
• Ability to work directly with demanding commercial clients.
