Assistant Underwriter

About the role

Lawson Delaney is recruiting an Assistant Underwriter who will work within a small team and manage a portfolio of clients efficiently. The role covers processing insurance business, preparing renewals and supporting claims.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client enquiries and requests for action within service level agreements
• Process quotations, new business, endorsements, renewals and cancellations
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and insurance brokers
• Prepare renewal and consolidation terms, including renewal pre-work and importing data into systems
• Ensure accuracy of all processed information on all policies
• Assist with the lodgement and management of client claims

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in the insurance field
• Able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines, with strong organisational and time management skills
• Well-developed communication skills to engage with people at all levels

Required skills

• Sound proficiency with Microsoft Office
