Assistant Store Manager (Retail – Hawthorn)

About the role

Bailey Nelson is opening a brand‑new store in Hawthorn in early November 2026 and needs an Assistant Store Manager to help deliver a seamless customer journey from eye test to frame selection. You will support the Store Manager and Optometrist, lead the team on designated days, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager and Optometrist to deliver a seamless customer journey from eye test to frame selection and dispense.
• Take ownership of the store two days a week, leading the team and driving performance.
• Keep the appointment book running smoothly and ensure every customer interaction feels easy and enjoyable.
• Coach and support your team to deliver great service every time.

Required profile

• Alignment with Bailey Nelson values: tight‑knit, down‑to‑earth, constantly improving.
• Experience in retail or optics at a supervisor or management level.
• Confident leader who enjoys developing others.
• Passionate about creating great customer experiences.
• Available to work full‑time on a Sunday‑to‑Thursday roster.
