Assistant Store Manager – Café (Camberwell)

About the role

Laurent Bakery is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to join its busy Camberwell café. You will work side‑by‑side with the Store Manager, helping to maintain the high standards of French artisan baking and exceptional customer service that the brand is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and model best practices for the team.
• Coach, lead and motivate the café staff during peak periods.
• Manage operational flow, including opening and closing procedures.
• Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
• Support daily store operations such as stock control, ordering, waste management and rostering.
• Coach the team on upselling and cross‑selling to meet sales targets.

Required profile

• Ready to step up from a Store Supervisor role.
• Strong barista knowledge and a passion for hospitality.
• Confident, calm and solutions‑focused under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and some public holidays.
